Introducing The New Editor of Applied Arts

We are very excited to announce our new editor, Will Novosedlik! Will has been a long time contributor to Applied Arts as well as a prominent strategist and designer in Canada and abroad. We look forward to having Will on the Applied Arts team.
Will has successfully created, built and repositioned brands in the consumer packaged goods, technology, telecom, retail, sports and leisure categories for over 30 years. As both a client and consultant in Canada, the United States, Europe and the Middle East he has brought brands to life through messaging and customer experience.
From 2011 to 2018, Will was a business development executive at global innovation shop Idea Couture. previous to that, as VP brand and communications, he built and led the brand communications and customer experience teams that created and launched WIND Mobile in Canada. Prior to that, he played a leading role in the brand repositioning, customer experience and retail re-design for Prague-based wireless operator OSKAR (now Vodafone CZ). He was recruited for that role after a two-year stint as strategic planner at TAXI Advertising and Design. As co-founder and senior strategist at Russell Inc., he helped build one of Canada’s leading design firms.
Over the last 26 years, Will has published hundreds of articles on brand strategy and customer experience in leading publications around the world. Prominent among those is Applied Arts Magazine, where he published his first feature article in 1992. Since then he has written 20+ features in the print edition and 75 monthly columns in the online edition.
When not working for a living, he can be most often be found wandering the streets with his camera, reading great fiction, taking in the visual arts, traveling to his favourite places or any combination of the above.
Will holds a BA in Visual Communications Design from NSCAD University and a BFA in Visual Art from the University of Windsor.
