LAUGH THERAPY FOR NEW PARENTS

Never judge a book by its cover they say, perfect idiom for creative director Cam Spires'  new soon-to-be-published book "What Were You Expecting?: First Words for New Parents". He collaborated with illustrator Grace Cho, Cam's day job and AD partner, to create the look and feel of the book.

What Were You Thinking?

Visually the book resembles a typical baby book yet, the twist, part and parcel of the AD people's skill set (modus operandi), is although the pictures are for babies, the words are definitely for new parents. The illustrations set up little jabs at the difficulty of being a new parent, like finding daycare, paying the mortgage, and drinking more bottles than your baby. They call it laugh therapy for new parents, because they need it.

Published by Kids Can Press and is sitting at 4.46/5 on Goodreads, and is available everywhere, from Amazon and Chapters/Indigo to Barnes & Noble

Looking for more from the duo? Cam publishes a ridiculous webcomic with a decent-sized audience across the web and Grace is a sought-after illustrator.

Applied Arts like this new approach to therapy, and we look forward to the sequel! Congratulations on your new book!
