Return of the Zombies - @deadwithsign

Halloween is a time when everyone has the opportunity to express their creativity through costumes, environment, characters, ambiance and more, it is our playground to impress, scare and entertain.  Some years ago at one of the halloween parties we hosted, two grown men arrived as Bob and Doug McKenzie, they weren't simply dressed as these two hosers, they actually seemed to be sitting on the couch; somehow they remodelled a couch to fit around them that had stuffed legs clothed in jeans and feet in construction boots hanging off the couch. They were a hit! We did feel for them though since their evening was spent negotiating door frames and people.

Recently Wunder and Craft&Crew exhibited their exemplary creativity through a successfully witty campaign for Ottawa's The SAWMILL 2022 Halloween haunted house event. Taking inspiration from the social media influencer "Dude With Sign", one of the most popular influencers with over 8 million followers, they created their own influencer "Dead With Sign" to promote the event which is presented by Saunders Farm. He is a zombified version of the famous influencer, holding signs that humorously encourage people to get out and do something exciting at The Sawmill at Lansdowne this fall.

You can keep an eye on the Instagram account, @deadwithsign, and watch the daily stories to see where the sarcastic zombie will be popping up next in the city. The account plans to post online a few hours before he goes out to hold his sign if you're hoping to snap your own photo.

The SAWMILL at Lansdowne is on October 7th until October 31st. This year the haunted experience is taking things underground, with a fully repurposed mineshaft and over 8 shipping containers of frightening experiences. But the fun doesn’t stop there, the event also includes a courtyard with food trucks, drinks, and a spooky fall setting to hangout in, even for those who don’t experience the haunt.
