Our Fall 2018 issue drops mid-September and this issue is packed with great content, not to mention both The Community and Student Awards winners.

The Community and Student Awards annual features 120+ page of winners from both categories. The Community Awards feature work from small local firms across Canada and the Student Awards features work from post-secondary students and a few high school students.

Find some testimonials from our awards judges below:

“Amazing to see such great diverse and quality work even in rural remote communities of Canada. Talent and quality design comes from across our country,” says Allison Camenzuli CGD, Creative Director & Partner, Kellett Communications (and one of our Community Awards judges).

The work this year exceeded my expectations. So much variety and so many fresh ideas! What I was most impressed with was the amount of work that focused on making a difference in the world,” says Antonia Goga, Senior Designer, TAXI (and one of our Student Awards judges).

Our award sections are sponsored by Henry’s and Fujifilm Canada, our print and paper partner Mi5 Print & Digital, and our association partners CAPIC, GDC and RGD.

In addition to the awards, you can find:

  • A feature exploring the rise of side hustles, including mini profiles on four designers showcasing both their day jobs and 5-9’s. We explore the reasons why people pursue side hustles and what it takes to make them successful.

  • A Creative Futures Magazine Supplement, a handy resource section that showcases art & design schools and the programs they offer. This section is aimed towards students and features schools from across Canada.

  • Opinion pieces from industry professionals, including a piece on the importance of language.
