The annual Double Vision competition, hosted by The Canadian Association of Professional Image Creators (CAPIC), has released its winners. The national competition, which was exhibited earlier this month at the Papermill Gallery in Toronto, pairs two artists from different disciplines together and challenges them to create portraits of each other. The result is a stunning comparison of photography and illustration. Check out the top three winners below, plus a few others we rounded up.

1st Place – Michael Cooper (photographer) and Michele Nidenoff (illustrator)

2nd Place AND Popular Vote – John Currid (photographer) and Giovaninna Colalillo (illustrator)

3rd Place – Michael Mahovlich (photographer) and Ed Laurin (graphic designer)

Virginie Egger (illustrator) and Allison Cordner (photographer)

Barbara Spurll (illustrator) and Jenny Chen (photographer)

Cathy McMillian (painter) and Brock Kryton (photographer)
