Will Delivers a Treat for Your Ears
December 20, 2018
Every year when the holiday season roles around, Vancouver-based agency Will takes it upon themselves to spread happiness to the advertising community, their partners and clients. This year has proved to be the same, except that the medium of delivering this joy has changed.
For their newest holiday campaign, Will takes it back to the days of middle school Christmas choirs. To show their community and colleagues how much they care about them, each team member was equipped with a trusty recorder to play a song in unison - that would surely bring joy to all who listened. They call it the ‘Willharmonic.’ Take a look at the video below (and perhaps lower the volume before you play it.)
To nail the performance you just witnessed, the team at Will spent an entire month teaching themselves the basics of the recorder – on their hour lunches. Although the learning process was tricky and the performance nerve-wracking, CD of Will, Lisa Lebeodovich explains that the team created something they were “all proud of.” Mostly because of the call-to-action at the end of the video, that encourages listeners to donate to Music Heals- an initiative that helps people through the therapeutic power of music.
“The children's author Hans Christian Andersen once said, “Where words fail, music speaks.” In our case, to raise awareness for the amazing charity Music Heals, words (or silence) may have been a wiser choice,” said Nick Richards, founder & executive creative director of Will.
