Typography Design & Application - Series
Winner: Janny Ji School: Maryland Institute College of Art Typographer: Janny Ji
This project is a series of 12-daily architecture posters created within an articulated formal and conceptual framework. The prescribed constraints include a fixed dimension and a black-and-white color combination as the formula to interpret each architect’s structures. Typography was used as the template to capture the architect’s names and their compositional styles. The conceptual limitations require that all posters include keywords from each architect’s philosophy and critics’ comments.
