During the pandemic, abusive relationships have risen by 30%. People were warned to “stay home” to stay safe, while overlooking the fact that for a lot of women “home” is a dangerous place. So we reached them in one of the only places they can get away from their abuser: the grocery store. We used the produce section to expose the rotten truth of abuse. We filled displays with bruised apples and used produce stickers to get discreet, lifesaving information into the hands of women who needed it.
