Matériaux initiates a dialogue between the works of seventeen artists around our relationship to matter in a context where technology and overproduction cause a loss of contact with it. By moving away from the original use of materials, the artists transform residual materials such as wood, steel, concrete, and others to address various social, economic, political, and ecological. The plurality of approaches and materials presented reflects the diverse points of view present in our societies.
