Peace Collective, a Toronto-based clothing brand aimed at making a difference, launched #UnravelHate – a campaign that unraveled a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat stitch-by-stitch and used its thread to create the ‘Welcome to Canada’ toque. An online film revealed the stories of new Canadians and their reactions to both the MAGA hat and the toque. Toques were made available for purchase with profits going to a charity that helps newcomers settle into Canada.
