Protests for Women, Life, Freedom broke out across Iran beginning in September 2022 after Mahsa Amini, 22, was killed by police for violating the country's mandatory hijab law. The protests, led mostly by women, evolved into a national revolt against the country's theocratic regime. This poster series aimed to bring awareness to the movement and the individuals who lost their lives fighting for freedom, while also giving Iranians–both in Iran and in the diaspora–hope for the future.
