According to a study by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, more than 8 million tons of plastic deposit in the global oceans every year, consequently, by 2050 there would be more plastic than fish in the water. Around 4% of the found garbage on North Sea beaches are cotton swabs. Bon Appétit! The illustration was part of the exhibition "Seagulls. Waste. And some mermaids." The aim of the collaboration was to take action and build a critical position towards daily plastic consumption to the benefit of marine conservation.
