This piece is a self-portrait that depicts the artist as a sort of mystical creature with blossoming flowers and fertile sprouts for hair. The artwork, simplified, symbolizes the fertility and imagination that is required for being an artist; which constantly demands coming up with fresh ideas that stem from an artist's fertile mind.
