Beirut’s music is inspired by his journeys through Europe. The music introduces the American mainstream to a unique blend of musical styles, with elements of Eastern European and Balkan folk, Western pop music, and indie-rock. The CD packaging is inspired by my own experiences traveling throughout southern Europe.
