Backyard Dwellers is a portrait series showcasing commonly found insects, photographed at five times magnification. While often considered a nuisance, insects are an important part of our ecosystem. I wanted to share their unique characteristics as well as show all of the fine detail these tiny creatures have. Through this photographic process, I was able to show what people don't see every day. Each image consists of 75 to 100 images stacked to create one highly detailed image.
