This image was taken inside a secluded and impoverished slum community in Pune, India while visiting kids in the Orphan Sponsorship International program. To me, this little girl embodies the essence of the dichotomy which is India.  Stunning beauty in the face of abject poverty, ancient wisdom behind a youthful gaze, and always hope for a better tomorrow.
