For its 34th issue, I followed irreverent Québec magazine Urbania to Paris for a special issue dedicated to Parisians. The result is a large series of portraits of Parisians with unique and interesting stories. Among the subjects are Le Père Lachaise’s cemetery specialist, Notre Dame de Paris’ organist and Le contrôleur du bonheur, a Parisian metro performer. Beyond simply portraying people, I wanted Paris itself to play an important role in these environmental portraits.
