With a heavy hammer and a wedge, determination and a spirit full of Finnish sisu, these men crumble stone harder than concrete. Each strike booms and rings into the sky, as the rock gives way toward the center of the Earth. Slate stone quarry in Finland. My latest series “The Quarrymen.”
