The objective of this poster was to elicit interest in a lecture series on how The Renaissance and The Industrial Revolution are linked. The history, cultivation, production, consumption, and significance of cotton is a gripping symbol that links both time periods from the 12th century Europe to slavery associated with the cotton plantations of the American south.
