\Iris\ is a physical manifestation of the vibrant, iconic style of fashion maven Iris Apfel. This conceptual piece is composed of illustrations, graphic patterns and a quote, enclosed on either end by laser-cut plexiglass in the shape of Apfel’s iconic glasses. The book opens 360° along a hand-sewn spine, forming stacked, bangle-like shapes that mimic Apfel’s signature oversized bracelets. Each element of the book was handcrafted and assembled using no adhesives.
