San Francisco's new Sit & Lie law prohibits sitting or lying in public for more than three minutes at a time. I circumvented this law by placing a bed in a paid parking space to make the only legal resting space in SF. In one week, with just $108 in quarters and a single bed, I raised $43,000 for the Homeless Youth Alliance to build beds in their shelter.
