9’h x 18’wDigital print applied to black boardThe feeling of empathy is connected to the shared experience of shame in this interactive exhibit. Anonymous responses were solicited over a period of 4 weeks and then displayed in a direct, non-judgmental, neutral way. A simple prompt invited viewers to respond to the statements with a white sticker with which they could physically connect with the feelings described invoking a cultural response similar to the Facebook ‘like’.
