A booklet created to communicate the weight and historical significance of the residential school program in Canada. The specific focus of the project was to tell the stories of children who passed away while trying to escape the schools. The attempted escape of Phillip Swain and Roderick Taypaywaykejick from St. Mary’s school in Kenora, Ontario is the focal point of the piece, with additional information about residential school runaways included to provide additional context.
