St. Louis, MO, USA. The Central Library closed in 2010 for the 2-year renovation and reopened to the public in 2012. Patterns were created, inspired by the buildings’ original adornment and repurposed as a way-finding method through each of the four levels of the building. Typography, color, and a variety of materials were used to delight and direct the Library’s 1000+ visitors a day.
